Tooth-pressing tooth-grinding / bruxism

Many patients grind or clench their teeth at night. This is called bruxism. Bruxism is considered a symptom of TMJ disease in today's dentistry.
Bruxism can be the first sign that the temporomandibular joints are not working properly, or that there is greater mental tension and stress at hand, which the body tries to relieve through muscle activity at night. Regardless of the cause, it is important to protect the joint and to make a splint that is worn at night.
